# Distill > Distill turns what you watch, and what you say, into work you can use. Bring a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X or Facebook video, a podcast, a transcript, or talk your own ideas through, and Distill pulls out key points, product ideas, articles, social posts and teaching material, each traced to the words it came from. Thoughtcast, part of Distill, publishes your own recordings as they were said, with the notes you choose, on a page with its own link. Made by Tamensah Labs. Distill does two jobs. From what you watch: learn from anyone and keep it, with the speaker credited and every item linked to the passage behind it. From what you say: talk an idea through, or mark your own talk, sermon, lecture or podcast as yours, and the outputs come back in the first person, in your voice, ready to remix into new posts. It is for creators and professionals: preachers and teachers, founders, podcasters, consultants, and anyone who learns from talks or thinks out loud. Distill is in early access, by invitation, and free while it is. Each is a draft to review and edit, and Source basis opens the exact passages behind it. - Key Points: the claims worth remembering, one sentence each, grounded in what was said. - Product Ideas: products or services the material suggests, each a name and a one-line pitch. - Articles: angles with a working headline and an opening paragraph to develop. - Social Posts: short posts for X, LinkedIn, Threads or Bluesky, each built on a specific point. - Teaching Material: discussion guides and exercises for a class, a team or a small group. ## Features - [Bringing in a source](https://mydistill.app/help#add): a public video link on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X or Facebook, a direct audio or video file, a pasted or uploaded transcript, or Talk it through, a recording of up to 30 minutes. - [Your Library](https://mydistill.app/help#library): every source and its outputs, with Keep, Later and Dismiss, and Continue to bring back what you planned to use next. - [Sharing a single item](https://mydistill.app/help#share): a read-only link to one output, showing the source's title and crediting the speaker. - [Export](https://mydistill.app/help#export): Markdown for every kind, PDF for everything except social posts, and Word for articles and teaching material. - [Your voice and Remix](https://mydistill.app/help#remix): first-person drafts from your own material, Stories & Lines, your stated views, and new posts and articles built only from what you have said. - [Thoughtcast](https://mydistill.app/help#thoughtcast): publishing a recording you own, your public profile, sharing to WhatsApp, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Telegram, and listener activity only you can see. - [Limits](https://mydistill.app/help#limits): 25 sources a day per account during early access. ## Thoughtcasts Published thoughtcasts are public pages at mydistill.app/{username}/thoughtcast/{name}, and each person's thoughtcasts gather on their profile at mydistill.app/{username}.
